House favouriteGoa's humble poie bread, reborn as gourmet sandwiches. Chorico, cafreal, balchão and more — stuffed, pressed and served fresh near Heera Petrol Pump, Panjim.
In Konkani, poie re is how you call someone over — “hey, look at this!” It's also the name of Goa's beloved pocket bread. We loved the pun too much to let it go.
So we took the everyday poie — soft, wholewheat, a little crisp at the edges — and made it worth looking at. Fillings pulled from Goan kitchens and the world over, pressed warm to order.
“We wanted to bring something fresh — something that resonates with Goa and Goan culture.” — Megh Netravalkar, co-founder

Cooler“When hungry in Goa, just think Poie Re.”
Poie Re started with a simple frustration: Goa's best bread deserved better than to be an afterthought.
Brothers Megh & Prasheel Netravalkar set up shop near Heera Petrol Pump and put the poie at the centre — baked fresh, filled with recipes from Goan home kitchens and flavours from around the world. The chorico, the cafreal, the balchão, made to order.
“Chorico and Goan poie is just the best combination one can get.”
